Take another step into God’s calling for your life by drawing closer to him this summer through our summer staff program.

Our summer staff program is built for college-aged students to serve in key areas of camp during the summer. This program lasts all summer (late May through beginning of August) and is a paid position. Approximately 70% of each staff member’s position includes working in the specific area in which they are hired, while 30% of of their time will be spent generally supporting Crowders Camps in other assigned areas. This may fluctuate based on position.

Summer staff serve in a variety of ways, including:

  • Leading recreation activities
  • Speaking on-stage during session games and activities
  • Serving as counselors for campers
  • Working in logistics, facilities prep, and event preparation
  • Serving meals in our dining hall
  • Creating graphics/video for social media and other online outlets
  • Taking photos
  • Preparing and assisting in execution of main session programming
  • Leading a group of interns who serve for one week terms

 

Program Team

Tribal Leader

The tribal leader is responsible for leading, encouraging, energizing, and carrying out activities
while guiding campers in their personal and spiritual growth.

High Adrenaline Team (HATs)

The high adrenaline team member is responsible for filling support roles throughout the summer
while remaining punctual and flexible to their assigned program areas.

Videographer

Essential Job Functions:
1. Capture photos at camp focusing on the camper experience and how camp impacts them
2. Edit photos in a prompt and timely manner to be used quickly on social media
3. Capture worship moments in our main worship sessions
4. Serve as an aide for our creative team in develop content for social media

Audio/Visual Staff (A/V)

Essential Job Functions:
1. Mix live sound for band and speakers during our worship sessions.
2. Work with other engineers for mic placement, signal flow, and other live engineering
techniques.
3. Record audio to be used in post-production.
4. Edit audio that will be used in film and video projects when not mixing worship sessions.

Photographer

Essential Job Functions:
1. Capture photos at camp focusing on the camper experience and how camp impacts them

Intern Team

Intern Coordinator

The intern coordinator is responsible for managing the intern team, communicating effectively
with staff, interns, and groups, and counsels’ interns through their emotional and spiritual
growth.

Intern Mentor

The intern mentor is responsible for leading, encouraging, energizing, and carrying out
activities/jobs with the interns and guides them in their personal and spiritual growth.

Administration Team

First Aid Responder (FAR)

The First Aid Responder (FAR) is in direct charge of the health program of the camp and of any health emergencies. The FAR takes charge of the medical records of the camper as well as staff; collects, administers and dispenses medications to individual campers to whom camp is directly responsible for, and is in control of health screening.
