CAMP LEADERSHIP

UNIVERSITY

Camp Leadership University (CLU) is building the next generation of camp and ministry leaders.

CLU is a yearlong program from August-August that includes opportunities for college-aged students to learn more about camp ministry and position themselves for a full-time career in ministry in the future. CLU participants are able to work at camp year-round, learn from our experienced lead staff members, and network with ministry leaders each week. Designed as a gap-year program, CLU participants are encouraged to embark on this program to discover if working in camp ministry or a career in the local church is right for them.

Gain practical and ministry experience.

CLU students get to work hands-on with a mentor from our Lead Staff, who will guide them through their responsibilities. On the weekends, CLU will serve as points of contact for retreat groups or help run activities. During the week, they get leadership training through classes and work projects preparing for summer camp.

Build your resume while in school.

Students enrolling in Camp Leadership University have the option to remain in online school while going through the CLU program. Coming out of CLU, students will have a variety of new skills to add to their resume, including facilitating client relationships, planning events and programs, and providing hospitality services.

Get paid to serve at camp all year.

During CLU, students get paid to work with retreat groups and help plan summer camp. Additionally, students can live at camp for free, and enjoy meals anytime our dining hall is serving. For days when the dining hall is closed, a kitchenette with a sink, fridge, burners, and storage is available for meals.
